Human Trafficking (Prevention)

Human trafficking involves the exploitation of people through force, fraud or coercion for purposes such as forced labour, sexual exploitation etc. Awareness is important to protect vulnerable people, recognize warning signs and promote collective action against this injustice. Education, vigilance, and community support can help prevent trafficking and save lives.

NEDSSS intervenes in addressing child protection issues through initiatives such as, awareness raising, engaging School Management Committees (SMCs) to reduce school drop-out rates. It recognizes the dynamic interplay between the individual, family, the community and the enabling environment in fostering the social and behavior change needed for transformational outcomes. The intervention operates at  three tiers of the framework, focusing on the individual, families, communities and the enabling environment.
